The Landscape Laborer position will have varying duties on a day-to-day basis. They will be responsible for manual labor tasks, landscaping, site maintenance, and general support operations on location at our worksites. Jobs may require the use of hand tools and power tools. Additionally, we would like you to have experience in hardscapes (patios, walkways, retaining walls, etc.) softscapes (planting landscape plants, working with soils and mulch) and sometimes working with irrigation teams. Landscape Laborers will report directly to the Team Leader of each jobsite you are assigned too. Huge bonuses for consistent attendance and performance.
A Few Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will be tasked with using hand tools for grading, digging, raking, compacting, cutting, trenching, etc.
- Assist Team Leader with duties and tasks for efficient completion of each job site
- Lift, handle and transport at least 50 lbs.
- Use power tools as needed
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
- Help with setting up work truck, keeping things organized and helping your team run as efficient as possible
- Make sure worksites are free from hazardous or obsolete materials
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
- Build and uphold a culture of professionalism by adhering to the company core values.
- Keep company property and equipment clean and organized.
- Properly care for and maintain all equipment assigned to the team.
- Material and plant knowledge are a plus.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in landscape installs, preferred, but not required.
- Good understanding of landscape building materials, natural and manufactured.
- Good communication skills. (Bonus hourly pay for Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred, but not required.)
- Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work and/or job site with qualifying MVR for company auto insurance.
- Ability to maintain a professional, positive and charismatic demeanor at all times.
- Able to interact professionally with customers, team members, and others at all times.

Working conditions:
- Generally M-F 7:30 am - 5:00 pm with some Saturdays required during peak season.
- Required to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions (inclement weather)
